Ausgelassen Standard Schnauzers

Kylie whelped 7 puppies, 4 boys and 3 girls on September 17th. She looks pretty happy with herself in this picture taken just after the whole litter was whelped

Second full day post-whelp and the puppies are doing great. They are gaining weight, happy/quiet, and content even when mom exits the whelping box to do something else. And coats already are looking good.

Puppies at Day 5... doing what puppies do, sleeping and nursing.

Mr. Green becomes the first to open his eyes on day 13, quickly followed in the next few hours by several others.

Full Moon Litter turning two weeks update. Everyone is gained weight. Eyes are opening and increasing they are trying to walk rather than crawl. Litter average is now just over 2lbs. When I went in the whelping box tonight at points they didn't just come to momma, they also came to me. Good signs. We are doing early neuro stimulation and early scent introduction every day. They like some scents, anise and grass, not so much birch or cypress.

3 week old update: 46.2oz or just a little under 3lbs / 1310g. Introduced some mush of goat's milk and royal canine starter mouse. They have fun getting it all over themselves. I guess some gets in their stomachs too. Mr Green is way heavier than everyone else at 52.6oz... That boy has bone! He doesn't look bigger, he's just dense. They are starting to play, growl, and bark. They are using the pee pad I introduced to the whelping box on day 17. How do they know? Idk but they do. Basically they continue to be great. Here's a video right after I changed out their whelping box pad and as mom was going into the box.
Nov 12, 2024: Puppies now 8 weeks. Having a blast playing outside. No longer trepidations about the backyard, they'll run everywhere and when they initially go outside they all go pee.
Nov 18, 2024: Puppies at 9 weeks. They all found a rope toy and want to all play with together. Super fun!
Nov 20, 2024: Playing with mom and dad... SUPER FUN!
